Membership Information

Since 1917, Lions have served the world's population through hard work and commitment to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere. With 1.3 million members serving in more than 44,500 clubs in over 186 countries and geographical areas, The Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired. An international board of directors governs the association. Each year, more than 20,000 Lions attend their international convention to discuss new ideas, share experiences and reaffirm friendship and fellowship. The Lions Clubs International charters the Harbor Beach Lions Club.

Through membership in a Lions club, people not only help those in need, but have opportunities to develop personal friendships and gain valuable leadership skills. The Harbor Beach Lions Club invites anyone interested in assisting others to come and meet its members and join the club in some of its fund raising projects and visiting the charitable projects which it supports.

Membership is open to men and women of legal majority and good reputation in the community, and is by personal invitation of a sponsoring Lion. We look for individuals of good moral character who are willing to work for their community. We have fun serving our community and look forward to you joining us and becoming a participant in the good we do for others. Our club meets once a month and elects officers annually.
